About Us / Diversity Statement

United Way of Ashtabula County Is A Local Charity

Since 1920 we have been concerned with one community...and that is Ashtabula County. We want to make this a better community for everyone who lives here. That’s why our work is focused on the building blocks for a good life:  Health, Education and Financial Stability.

  • Health -  We support programs that build a healthier, more resilent community by promoting positive physical and mental health.
  • Education – We support programs that prepare children to start school successfully, become proficient readers at a young age, stay on track in middle school, earn their high school diploma or equivalent to pursue workforce readiness.
  • Financial Stability – We support programs that empower people to pursue and maintain financial stability.

We do this by recruiting people and organizations from across Ashtabula County who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to make a better community.  We invite you to join them.  You can advocate, you can give or you can volunteer.

United Way of Ashtabula County Diversity and Inclusion Statement

United Way of Ashtabula County is an equal opportunity employer that believes a culturally diverse governance structure and workforce are assets to our organization and partner charities.

Diversity and inclusiveness are critical components to achieving success and we will continually strive to include and respect people with differences in race, religion, gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, age, disabilities, work and behavior styles, and perspectives shaped by an individual's experiences.

Our board, staff and volunteers must strive to reflect all of the faces and walks of like that make up our community.  It is our goal that United Way of Ashtabula County partners, strategies and investments also reflect these core values.
